Biography

Dr. Oberoi is presently Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Thapar University Patiala, India. He started his technical education with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Polytechnic, Patiala. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 and 2011 respectively, from the Punjab Technical University in India. He graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne, Australia in 2016 with PhD. in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. He has more than 17 years of work experience that includes working in industry, teaching, and research. While at RMIT University, from 2012-2016 he received fee exemption grant under the Commonwealth Government Research Trainee Scheme and PhD top-up scholarship of $20K from Victorian Brown Coal Innovation Australia.

He has published 56 International Journal papers and 22 conference papers. He has supervised 06 Master students and 3 PhD scholars in the area of hydrogen fuel cell. He has received several projects of worth Rs. 9.5 Lakhs from different agencies. His research interests are solid-state hydrogen storage, proton electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), materials for energy storage, heat exchangers, heat pipes, heat sinks, and alternate fuels.
