Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma is an active researcher in the area of welding science and technology with its new horizons of application i.e. Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), development of Functionally Graded Materials (FGM). He has more than 10 years of experience of teaching and research including Teaching cum Research Fellow (TRF) at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) New Delhi, Assistant Professor at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology Panipat and at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) Patiala. He received his doctoral degree in the department of Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering from NSIT New Delhi in 2018. He carried out his PhD research work on experimental investigation of welding of high strength low alloy (HSLA) oil and gas pipeline steels and observation of metal transfer behaviour of welding arc during submerged arc welding for optimization of the process. Dr. Sharma has published many peer-reviewed journal and international conference, book chapter publications. He is supervising the research work of many Masters as well as Doctoral students in the area of manufacturing.
