Biography

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Thapar Institute of Engg. & Technology, Patiala. He earned his Ph.D. in 2024 from NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India, focusing on “experimental & numerical investigation of pool boiling heat transfer”. He completed his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Thermal Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology Patiala in 2018, focusing on “Solar Desalination”. His research revolved around bubble dynamic behaviour, bubble departure diameter & frequency, active nucleation sites, critical heat flux and heat transfer coefficient. The application of his research delves into thermal management of high heat flux generating microelectronic devices, high-density data centre, nuclear rod in fast breeder test reactor using multi-phase heat transfer through nucleate pool and flow boiling.
