Biography

Dr. Prabhat Chand Yadav is an enthusiastic and active researcher in the area of Physical metallurgy, Severe plastic deformation, Mechanical behaviour of materials, Microstructural evolution, Material characterization, Tribology of material and micro‑deformation mechanism. He has more than 10 years of research experience in electron microscopy. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UPTU 2011, master’s degree in the field of tribology from IIT Roorkee in 2013 and doctoral degree in the field of severe plastic deformation techniques from IIT Kanpur in 2021. Since 2021, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. Dr. Yadav visited School of Industrial Engineering, Purdue University, USA for one year in 2019 to do research in the field of micro-deformation mechanism investigation through particle image velocimetry technique. He was selected for Overseas Visiting Doctoral fellowship and Young Scientist award funded by SERB-DST, India. Dr. Yadav was also got an opportunity to work as post-doctoral fellow in University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2020. He is involved in several national and international collaborations and published many journal and international conference publications.
