Biography
Dr. Prabhat Chand Yadav, PhD (IIT Kanpur, India), M.Tech. (IIT Roorkee, India), B.Tech. (GBTU Lucknow, India) is presently Assistant Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (Deemed to be University), Patiala. Dr. Yadav is also associated with Bournemouth University UK as Visiting Fellow since March 2023. He worked as Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellow on micro-deformation mechanism through particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique at the School of Industrial Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA in 2019. Dr. Yadav was also got an opportunity to work as post-doctoral fellow in University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2020. Later in 2021, he Joined Department of Mechanical Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala. He is also associated with Department of Physics and Material Science, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala for “Electron Microscope Facility”. He has published 21 international journal papers and presented his work in several reputed international conferences. His current research interests are severe plastic deformation of FCC alloys, followed by their physical and mechanical metallurgy. Apart from that Dr. Yadav also works on functional and tribological behaviour of FCC material. He is the recipient of prestigious Overseas visiting doctoral award, Young scientist travel award funded by SERB-DST, India and Royal society exchange award funded by Royal Society UK.
